On Sunday evening a group of 12 cousins arrived from Ohio to volunteer this week.  They should be able to enjoy some warm, sunny weather while here in Texas!

Monday morning found 9 volunteers at the new Habitat build.  They were ready to put up the rafters and sheet the roof.  By Wednesday we were waiting for inspection so we could go ahead with the wrap and shingles, and by Friday that was all completed.

Several volunteers went to finish blowing in the insulation in the final home that was waiting on that.  Another group went to Gregory to set cabinets and begin the interior painting, while another crew stayed here on site and painted lots of interior doors.

Later in the week cabinets and countertops were installed in the 10th Street house and interior painting began there.

Wednesday night was our grill/campfire night.  For each group, it seems this is their favorite evening!  Samuel joined us for the evening meal on Thursday.  He is very grateful for the new home that he and his mom will share.

We said goodbye to two of our long term team this weekend.  Scott is heading back to Ohio and Wendy to California.  We say thank you to both of them for the five weeks of work they have contributed to here!  Great to have you!
