New Caney, TX (RV) – Jan. 18-24, 2026

This past week, we worked together with the Conroe MDS project on a new build in the Magnolia district, with volunteers on our team from Manitoba, Alberta, British Columbia (Canada), and Iowa and Indiana (USA). Several of us had worked together before, and it was a joy to be reunited with old friends. The new build replaces a condemned home in Magnolia, TX, that was damaged by Hurricane Beryl in June 2024, and where the current owners are still living. Our team’s work included installing plumbing, building steps and rails at the side of the home, and a railing across the front of the home. We shared tools and workspace with the volunteers from the Conroe MDS traditional project as they applied Hardie board to the outside of the home. Our team also started repairs on a home in Humble, TX that needed new sliding doors and two windows. This next week, plumbing work will begin on another home in the Cleveland area.
