New Caney, TX (RV) – Mar. 8-14, 2026

This week, we finished painting at the Hayes’ home in Magnolia, with a few drywall patches left to finesse. Installation of kitchen cabinets and window boxes was completed and flooring went down in the kitchen/living area, closet, hallway, and laundry room. This coming week installation of the flooring will be completed. Work remaining includes putting in kitchen countertops, hanging doors, door trims and baseboards, installing appliances, plumbing fixtures and hook up. A home blessing is planned for March 30, 2026.

Wednesday found Tom Hildbrand and Duane Anderson repairing drain pipes on a home in Spring where the sewer had backed up. The gratitude of the home owner, and showers and clean laundry once the job was completed were highlights of the day for them.

At the Renk home in Porter, flooring was completed, the doors hung, trimmed and painted and baseboards installed. This week, finishing work will continue, with a home blessing planned for later in the week.

We have decided that weekly Taco Thursdays is the earmark of this team for the month of March. It means that each household prepares 1-2 items to contribute to the themed meal minimizing the preparation involved. It is a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the work week, when everyone is too tired to cook. By Saturday, the women had enough energy back to go on a thrifting/antiquing expedition in nearby Tomball, returning with varying degrees and quantities of collectables.
