Arcadia, FL – March 17-23, 2024

Our time here in Arcadia is winding down for the long term volunteers.  Paul and Lisa Schamback have served as project director and office manager from January 3 through March 30.  Emma and Don Yoder have served as cook and assistant cook for that time period also.  We have met a lot of volunteers over the past 3 months!  Even though we wont remember every persons name, we will have fond memories of our time serving for MDS in Arcadia.   

We had another productive week of work.  In Miss Harvey’s home countertops were installed.  Flooring and light fixtures were installed.  The house was primed and painted.  What an improvement!!   

In Miss Shaver’s home flooring was installed.  Plumbing was hooked up.  Walls were primed and painted.  Interior doors were painted.  There is light at the end of the tunnel. 

At Mr. Smith’s home mudding, sanding, floor repair and deck repair were done.  Our goal is to finish his home by the end of this week.
