The first house in Crisfield has begun!  Footers were poured on 4/25/22 and the foundation blocks were laid on 4/29/22.  A group of 7 masons from G.L. Wise Masonry came from the Denver, PA area to do the job in 1 day! (Pictures attached.)  Framers from Ohio are scheduled to be here the week of 5/9/22.
Work is also continuing on the camp site, readying it for the volunteers who will be coming.  Outside lighting has been repaired, the workshop has been organized and a work bench installed, cleaning is continually being done.
Details are in the works today, 5/2/22, to get the footers poured on the 2nd house and be ready for the inspector this afternoon.  If that takes place, the masons will be back on 5/6/22 to lay the foundation blocks.
Jay Finkbiner was the PD for the month of April.  He and his wife, Twila, have returned home. While here, Jay was often found working out details for many unexpected roadblocks – and succeeded with the progression on the 1st house! Cindy & Steve Sanderson will be on-site until May 4th, when they have to return home.  David Kanagy will meet a volunteer group from OH at the Crisfield camp on 5/8/22.  This group of volunteers will put up the framing at the 1st house during that week.
