North Carolina – ERT – Oct. 20-26, 2024

We are into the 3^rd week of the NC ERT Project here in Fairview, NC.  Our scope of work is to help with the urgent needs of residents affected by Hurrican Helene have trees on, or hanging over their roofs, driveways, animal fences, etc.  The devastation here is hard to imagine, even harder to describe.

10/16 saw the Project Director, Carl Dube (from Michigan), passing his ‘torch’ to Paul Jutzi (from Pennsylvania), who will be here until 11/1.  Then on 10/21, Lou Eby (from Ohio) turned over the duties of Office Manager to Cindy Sanderson (from Pennsylvania), who will be here until 11/2.  Our volunteers this week include 2 groups of men from the Lancaster area.

At the closing of this week, our job list contained over 100 completed jobs! Our volunteer crews were kept busy cutting down trees and/or branches and moving them out of the way.
