Continuing on as a long term volunteer at the Jennings project is Doug Goertzen, serving as a Crew Leader. New to the site is Alan Landis serving as another Crew Leader; Tim & Michelle Gerber serving as Head Cook and Assistant Cook and Don & Rachel Horst, serving as Project Director and Office Manager. A group of thirteen energetic weekly volunteers from Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, Goshen, IN which included Rich L, Sara & Bob F, Barb & Rex R., Gloria Y., Dick B., Devon W., Albert B., Jeff Y., Burnell W., Terry H. and Connor G., completed our team this week.

Work on five different homes included removing and replacing a front porch, removing and replacing old windows, installing new tub surround, bathroom flooring, toilet, vanity, painting walls, baseboards and
ceilings, installing insulation and removing and installing tar paper and shingles on a roof.

Highlights of the week included seeing big changes made not only to the houses but also the lifted spirits of the homeowners. Over and over they expressed gratitude and renewed hope in receiving much needed help. We enjoyed Pastor Roy coming out and working on a house with the team on Thurs. as well as the lovely Cajun style meal his Jennings Church of Christ congregation prepared and served to us.

A smaller group of volunteers is coming next week but we anticipate finishing up the roof we started and working on a variety of other things.
