Ironton, LA – Feb. 8-14, 2026

Departing Weekly Volunteers were: Brandon, Matthew, Calvin, Nelson, Anthony, Matthew, Arnold, Linford and, Moses – all from various communities in Missouri. Blake and Samuel, two Rosedale Trade students, also finished their 6 week term with us.  Most weeks we have a strong complement of young women on the team but not this week.

All three buildings are really taking shape.  I have included a photo of one of the builds – a before and after shot – that shows the incredible transformation in only one week.

Similar progress was achieved on the other two builds.  We will soon be closed in and ready to install plumbing, electrical and HVAV on all three.

Lisa who is the Office Manager for January and March and Cook for February is spearheading a project to create a quilt for each of the home owners (to-be).  The Head Cook for February (Valerie), who is also a talented seamstress, readily agreed to assist.  One of the ladies from First Baptist Church (our home away from home) kindly loaned a sewing machine to Valerie.

The weather outside is becoming more pleasant as we move into the second half of February…this is greatly appreciated – especially by those who call the north their home
