Wynne, AR – Jan. 19-25, 2025
We had a great second week on the sites in Wynne, Arkansas. Our group of volunteers were eleven folks from Pennsylvania including three young couples along with the family from Ohio.
On Miss Pat’s house we finished setting the trusses, installed the sheeting and shingles on the roof. We wrapped the house and installed the windows and doors. We also got all the interior walls built. On Friday plumbers and electricians started doing the rough ins.
On Miss Lawanda’s house we got the exterior walls set, the trusses up and the sheeting and paper on the roof. We also got all the windows installed and completed painting the siding for her house as well.
On Miss Grandester’s house we were able to lay out and get the sill plates marked and drilled along with building all the headers.
It was a cold week for this area, but all our volunteers were very willing to go out and do the work that was needed to be completed.
Miss Lawanda and her granddaughter joined the group for dinner on Wednesday evening and shared about their experience of the tornado.
We thoroughly enjoyed having the young family from Ohio including three girls ages 4, 2 ½ and 3 months with us for two weeks. We had a travel trailer brought in for them to stay in.
We also have two young men that are here for six weeks that are doing the traders program through Rosedale Bible College.
