This was the first week on the job in Wynne, Arkansas. Our volunteers were a group of 13 from Pennsylvania and New York. Along with a family from Ohio.

Two of the house foundations were completed on Tuesday and the other two were completed on Friday the 17th.

We found two repair jobs to fill in until we could get on the new foundations to build the new houses.

On Miss Marilyns house we took off the old roof and put new shingles on it for her. The job was completed on Friday.

On Miss Ola’s house we did repairs on the kitchen cabinet and the bathroom cabinet along with some plumbing repairs.

On Miss Pat’s house we painted all the siding and trim along with the interior doors and trim. We found a building that a local person let us use that is heated since it is too cold here in Wynne to paint outside. We also started painting siding for Miss Lawanda’s house.

On Thursday we were able to start building walls on both Miss Pat’s and Miss Lawanda’s houses.

On Miss Pat’s house the walls are set, and the outside sheeting is on and some of the trusses were set.

On Miss Lawanda’s house we have the exterior walls built and ready to set.

Long term volunteers are from Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virgina, Montana and Missouri.

LeRoy, Doreen, Jonathan, Carolyn, Louise, Hannah, John, Braeden and Cameron
