We had two of our four houses ready to drywall finish with a third nearly ready at the beginning of this week. A group of men from Fisher IL joined us along with a brother and sister from Kalona IA. Three of the IL group were skilled drywall finishers and with some help completed two houses and started on the third.

Two other crews worked on insulation, hanging drywall and priming. By weeks end, the prime coat in one house was completed and ceiling done in another. Nearly all the dry wall was hung in house four.

Next week we will be joined by two women from Manitoba and a man from PA.

On Wednesday evening we were invited to eat a meal prepared by the Mayor of Wynne and her mother. Four city policemen joined us. We were reminded that first responders also have stories to tell.

On Saturday three of our LTV completed their assignments. John Stutzman from Montana served here for six weeks as crew leader.

Two Rosedale students, Braeden Heatwole from VA and Cameron Meeks from MO, also served MDS for six weeks as part of their educational experience. Braeden was here for six weeks, Cameron for five.

We welcomed Dale Horst from PA as our new crew leader.

Many of us watched the 75th Year Thursday night celebration service in our lounge.

On Sunday some of our group attended the worship service at St James Missionary Baptist where one of our homeowners attends. They blessed us with a donation towards Sunday lunch at Pizza Hut
