Nine volunteers from Wisconsin joined us this week.

In preparation for the home dedications next week they painted, hung doors, finished closets, trimmed windows, installed vanities, microwaves and baseboard. The homes are built on slabs. This week we thoroughly cleaned two cement floors and applied sealant.

A rental store across the street from our camp donated a skid steer that we used to grade the lawns in three of our homes. The fourth one is still too wet to grade.

In our last two houses, they hung drywall, sanded and primed. The last house was sided. Cabinets were installed.

A home decorating group is putting furniture in each of our four houses. They are also giving us window blinds and bathroom hardware to install.

A garden center is digging holes for a tree on each property provided by Mennonite Men.

A local couple provided us with Chick-fil-A sandwiches, chips and cookies for our supper Wednesday night.

The goal is to complete the four houses by the end of March. Next week we expect a group of 14 volunteers from Manitoba, Ontario, Indiana, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
There will be plenty of work for them. They will also participate in a home dedication.

We also are expecting Roger Klassen to come with his equipment to demolish two homes damaged by the tornado.

Dale Horst, a crew leader from Chambersburg PA returned home on Saturday. Long Term Volunteers Norman Martin and his wife Jolene, both crew leaders, also returned home as did Jolene’s sister Kathryn Burkholder and her friend Kathryn Zeiset. Kathryn Zeiset lives in Missouri; the other three In Ohio,

We welcomed crew leader Daryl Horst and his twin brother David over the weekend. They come from New York and will be here until March 30
