The first week of the project went very well! We had a total of 14 volunteers. Everyone worked well together. A next-door neighbor to our homeowner was kind enough to let us use his yard for building the trusses. The concrete work was completed, and we built a jig to make trusses for the roof. Some volunteers continued to make trusses while others began setting the trusses, sheeting and blocking trusses. Fascia, soffit and Simpson ties were added. When the work seemed laborious, we could stop for a few minutes and take in the beautiful view. The scenery here is some of God’s exceptional work.
