Ironton, LA – Feb. 1-7, 2026

Departing Weekly Volunteers: Amos, Delton, Roy, Ray, Kenneth, Jaydon, Loren, Randall, Emory, Kevin, Mark all from Ohio. 

Departing Long Term Volunteers:  Jonathan and Andrew from New York. 

Departing Cooks:  Susan and Kara (both had such a such a good time, they plan to return as weekly volunteers) 

Arriving Leadership for February: Wayne (Office Manager) and Val (Head Cook) from Alberta Canada. 

As mentioned by Lisa in the previous weekly report, the team was now full steam ahead with three house builds.   

The house build for Client H.R. is the most advanced so far. The support structure, floor, walls, roof, steps and porch, windows, and siding are in place.  Painting and attaching of siding are in progress. 

The house build for Client Z.W is next, with has floor, walls, stair landing and roof sheeting  completed. 

The house build for Client C.C. is last with supporting structure and floor complete. 

The weather has been quite variable…some days quite cool and some days quite pleasant.  Warm days are just around the corner.
