Elk, WA – Feb. 8- 14, 2026

This week we welcomed 6 skilled and hard-working men from Wisconsin, as well as Dick, a plumber from Washington. And the weather was great – dry, sunny, and mild. We did not have to deal with mud this week!

Bill’s house – We finished the mudding and sanding. The house was textured and primed. The water line has been connected into the house.

Steve’s house – The house has been textured and is ready for painting.

Linda’s houses – Dick and Eugene worked on the plumbing at Linda’s ADU house. An inspection is scheduled for Tuesday. At Linda’s MDS house, a group insulated, hung drywall and got the taping almost done. The shower surround was installed.

A lot of progress was made this week.

In the evenings after supper and reporting, we enjoyed some very competitive games.

This weekend we said good-bye to our Rosedale trade school students and our cooks. We enjoyed many delicious meals from Kathy and Steve, as well as hearing good stories from their years of experience.
