A group of six volunteers from Bluffton University (Bluffton OH) joined a couple from central Pa to work in Eastern KY this week. They did a variety of work on seven of our current projects.

Drywall and electrical work continues at the Southwood home. In the Spicer, Herald and Riverside School houses electrical work was the focus; trim work and painting was done in the States home; insulation in the Neace home and flooring at Joseph’s.

Jamie, the director of Breathitt County Long Term Recovery Committee joined us for supper on Wednesday night. She told us they expect to work at recovery from the latest flood for the next six years.

Kevin King and Darin Bontrager joined us mid-week along with Paul and Julie Hunt and Susan Kim. Kevin and Darin visited job sites and had conversations with long term recovery representatives. The other three spent the day videotaping and interviewing home owners and volunteers.

Next week we expect 14 volunteers. They will come from the Lancaster area of PA. The focus for the next three weeks will be on completing our current projects before closing March 31.
