Our new weekly volunteers joining us this week are a group of 9 from Wisconsin.  And added to the long term team is Dick and Sharon, from Lancaster, PA.  Dick will be serving as crew leader and Sharon as Assistant Cook for the month of February.

The week began with volunteers digging holes for posts and building decks and stairs for two different homes, one being on the new build and the other for the home of a 94 year old lady.  A crew also put up soffit and began putting up vinyl siding, which continued until the rain came on Thursday.  Work continued at the Baptist Church demolishing the bathrooms floors and taking wet drywall off the adjoining room.  Several volunteers also installed the ceiling vinyl on the porch at the new build and gave the inside a cleaning job to prepare for the insulation crew to arrive next week.

By the end of the week, the stairs were all finished, as well as the vinyl siding.  At the Baptist Church, new floor joists were installed and the underlayment put down, part of it temporarily to allow the plumber to come do some work on Monday.

On Wednesday the volunteers helped Ms. Denise move into her newly elevated home which is now finished!  She is very grateful to be above the flood plain at last!

Long term team – Adam Blough, Ron & Char Roth, Dick & Sharon Schock and Mike & Linda Stuckey
