What Happened
In June 2024, Spencer, Iowa, experienced devastating, record-breaking flooding when the Little Sioux River crested at 22.2 feet, inundating the south side of town, damaging hundreds of homes, and requiring the rescue of 800 residents. The surge caused significant infrastructure damage and forced massive, long-term cleanup efforts.
What MDS Is Doing
MDS work will focus on flood recovery work including drywall, taping/mudding, flooring, and painting.
