We have appreciated a week of mild weather. Our weekly volunteers were a family from Iowa and three women who arrived by train from Pennsylvania.  The women will be here for two weeks and our volunteer from Washington will stay with us several more days to continue working on plumbing.

A crew worked hard to finish the plumbing at Bill’s house and the inspection is complete!  It is ready for insulation next week.

We were very appreciative of the 19-year-old daughter who spent a day in the attic at Steve’s house blowing in all the insulation as her mom fed it into the machine below. All the drywall has been completed, and one coat of mud is on the walls.

Linda’s house has had rough-in plumbing started with supplies ready to go for the crew next week to get off to a good start.

It was a real treat to have Bill and Native join us for dinner on Wednesday.  Native made fry bread for us, and with our cooks providing the toppings, it was a very delicious meal!  They shared with us about experiencing the fire, and Native also shared about her traditions as a Choctaw Native American.  Our bond is strengthened as we hear the stories of homeowners.
