It has been another busy and productive week here is SW Louisiana!  We started our Monday with a heart tug…..we had a dog show up in our campground and were immediately all in love with him.  There were many thoughts about taking him home.  We called the City and they came and picked him up and found his home.  It was a great start to our week.
This week we mudded the 2 front bedrooms, ran electricity from the fuse box to the bedrooms and installed the air conditioners in the bedrooms.  We hung gutters on the back porch, painted doors, and installed some of the water lines under house.  We installed linoleum, the vanity and trim in the bathroom and installed flooring in the utility room.  We finished drywall in the bedrooms, textured the ceilings and finished wiring up the ceiling fans.  We primed the ceilings in the bedrooms, touched up the bedroom walls with mud, painted doors and inside the closets.  We ran gas lines to the utility room and moved the gas line to the stove, repaired the floor under the bathroom door from the bedroom and finished up the electrical outlets.  Finished up paint on the window and outside trim around the air conditioners and installed lighting in the bathroom.  WHEW!!!!!  It was kind of a whirlwind, but we are trying hard to get things finished up for Brandalyn since some of our team is leaving this week for Christmas and soon, we will all be on Christmas break.
Saturday morning some of us went to a craft show in Lake Arthur and in the evening, we went to the Christmas Parade and Tree Lightening here in Welsh.  It is great to be a part of welcoming community.  On Sunday we went to the Baptist Church here in Welsh and out to lunch together.  We have had such a fun time working and fellowshipping with this group and praise God for our time together.
Many blessings to all,
Duane and Jean, Bob and Cyndi, David and Karen, Dan and Andrea, Paul and Sarah, Ken and Suetta
