Shuswap, B.C. – April 21-27, 2024

Welcome to week one at the Shuswap project in Scotch Creek, B.C. 

The seven leadership and long-term volunteers arrived the previous week and the camp was almost completely set up and ready for our first three weekly volunteers. Thank you to the coordinators, start-up team and drivers who made this possible. 

Our hosts have been very gracious and accommodating and we look forward to a fruitful relationship with their leaders and congregation. We have received support with local volunteers and baked goods dropped off daily. 

The week started at two of the three planned new builds with cement pours for footings as the excavation was performed the previous week. By the end of the week, the ICF was installed on both homes.  

Our local church contact person asked us to permanently display pictures of the weekly progress to be viewed during their Sunday services.
