This week in Selma, we were joined by a group of 7 volunteers from Diller Mennonite Church in southern Pennsylvania, led by Joanne Halteman.

The weather in Selma was fall-like with cool mornings and warm, mostly sunny days.

Early in the week, at the Moore home, a small team was busy straightening the damaged exterior wall. They completed re-sheeting and wrapping Tuesday morning.

The remainder of the week, we were all busy at the Reynolds new build. The volunteers started the week with only footings, and by Friday we had a fully framed and strapped home, including trusses. We had a group drop by the new build which included representatives from Auburn University, the City of Selma and UMCOR. They are in discussions about possible grants to finance 10 new builds in Selma in the near future.

For supper Thursday evening, we were joined by Ed Reynolds and family, including his sisters Belinda & Jennifer, nephew Octavious and auntie Katie.
