Selma, AL – Mar. 30 – Apr. 5, 2025

This week in Selma, we were joined by the Judith Knepp group from the Montgomery, Indiana area. The group comprised of 2 men and 8 very energetic girls, who, before and after work, enjoyed the sunshine and took many walks in the area.

The weather in Selma was spring-like with cool but muggy mornings and very warm mostly sunny days.

Over at the Moore home, a large crew continued drywall hanging and drywall finishing, as well as floor repair and installing siding. A few volunteers spent 2 days painting at the Jones home. We did not work at the Reynolds house this week but have been preparing the house for the drywall finisher arriving this weekend.

For supper Thursday evening, we were joined by the owner of the new build, Ed Reynolds, and extended family. They shared their tornado story and expressed deep gratitude for the work of MDS and offered encouragement to the volunteers.
