Selma, AL – Feb. 23-Mar. 1, 2025

This week we were blessed with a group (11) of young adults and their leaders from a church in Pennsylvania.

This week we started a new job at Genevieve’s house. This house has quite a long list of items to complete including some demolition and structure modifications.  Most of the volunteers spent all week at this site.  At times all the volunteers were working at her house.  By the end of the week, they had the side of the house they were working on insulated, wrapped and ready for the windows to be installed.  Some worked at foundation repair while others were inside repairing floors.

A group of 4 guys worked with Ryan and Jonathon readying the Reynolds house for pouring concrete and then being onsite for the foundation concrete pours.  That house is now ready to start with girders and blocking.

Next week the hope is to do some framing on the Reynolds house.  For Genevieve’s house the work will consist of exterior siding installation, window replacement, and quite a bit of interior repair.

On February 22 we welcomed Chad Weaver as Crew leader. Mid-week Rollin Ulrich and Denis Sabourin arrived to serve as Project Director and Office Manager through the month of March.  Those finishing up their time of service this week were Ivan and Anna Mary Martin, (Cooks), Doug Goertzen (Project Director), and Roland Stutzman (Office Manager).  Jonathon and Katy Snyder began their respite week after which they will be serving in California.
