This week we welcomed 16 Rosedale Bible College students to Port Charlotte. We were also joined by two daily volunteers. Kayla was in the area because her husband had some meetings. Dave was here to work one day with his grandson, who was a Rosedale Bible College student.

The students willingly pitched in to learn new skills and help do repairs. They learned skills in drywall hanging and mudding, installing doors and kitchen cabinets, painting, installing trim, installing windows, and a little bit of electrical work and plumbing. A group removed old shingles and put tarp on a roof. And they learned the importance of cleaning up at the end of each day to enable the hurricane survivors to live in the house while they were being repaired. We hope they can continue learning new skills and put them to use in the future.

On Wednesday evening, Dawn and Chris joined us for supper and shared about the struggles they endured from not only Hurricane Ian, but also from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. We are hoping to complete work on their house in early March. How exciting it will be for them have a safe place to live.
