It was a rather chilly week, as the nighttime lows reached into the 20s and highs were in the 40s, but our RV volunteers kept warm working inside Peggy and Joe’s houses. Peggy’s ceilings have been drywalled and painted. Soon the crown molding will be placed back and some of the old flooring removed to be replaced with new floor.

Joe’s home repair has started with removal of old ceiling in a room, which was replaced with new drywall, and the kitchen cabinets were removed so the floor could be leveled and plumbing assessed. A tree had fallen onto his home, causing a shift in the structure of the house, so leveling and new support beams were a must.

On Friday, January 24, the group took a boat tour of Wakulla Springs and saw a great many manatees and alligators, including young ones, and all sorts of birds. After that cool ride, we ate our box lunches inside the wonderful, heated lodge. Everyone enjoyed the good time of relaxing.

In Christ’s Service,

Rita Wolf,

Ken, Steve, Pamela, Bruce, Nancy, Mike, Twila, Leonard, Twila, Andy, Maureen, and Dean.
