Newton, TX (RV) – Feb. 1 – 7, 2026

This week our group finished the first month of the 3-month RV project. A lot of progress was made on the Wilkes home. The living room ceiling and walls were completely drywalled and the first coat of mud applied and the subflooring completed ready for flooring next week.  The bathroom toilet was hooked up, and the drywall was installed and painted, and the pedestal sink partially connected. Flooring was completed in the bedrooms and the bathroom.

The weather has warmed up in the 60-70’s which is a welcome improvement from the freezing emps from the past 2 weeks.  Our second team building activity was sharing a Mexican meal after a long day of work on Wednesday.

It was also a time of goodbyes and hello. We said goodbye to Fred Miller, project director, and Ben Newcomer as they traveled early Friday morning heading home to Virginia.  On Friday, Saturday and Sunday we welcomed Norman and Karen Fable, Cindy and Steve Detwiller, Sandi and Billie Miller and Peter and Loretta Keys, our new project director and Office manager.
