Newton, TX – RV – Dec. 1-7, 2024

As we are entering the last week of the project for the fall, we are finishing up one home and making steady progress on the other two. We were short one couple this week but the rest of the crew worked very hard and a lot was accomplished.

At the McAllister home, doors and locks were installed, paint was touched up, flooring was completed, and baseboards were installed. We are a planning a home blessing next week before we leave the project for the holidays.

At the Diggles home, we had a full crew, and they were able to accomplish much. The shower base and surround were installed. More drywall was hung, mudding was completed, and sanding continued. Primer on the walls was begun. In the kitchen, flooring was replaced, trim and baseboards were installed. Work was done on sewer and water lines. The A/C unit and window boxes were installed, and painting continued.

At the Minnix home, plumbing and electrical work continued, along with drywall mudding.

We said goodbye to one couple who added a lot of fun and worked hard. We celebrated them with donuts and coffee, and a tearful hanky-waving sendoff. We had a soup supper for our Thursday night potluck and did some team building by playing dominoes together.
