Lytton, BC – June 8-14, 2025
Another week of building completed by a small group with big hearts!
Since the drywall and taping were contracted out, we did not have to worry about that. Nikiah, the homeowner, had purchased rough cut lumber to prepare for the casing and baseboard so, that was planed and jointed, creating mountains of sawdust. After the final sanding of the walls, all the walls and floors were cleaned in preparation for painting. On Thursday, the whole house got a coat of primer. Most of it got on the walls and it’s looking great! When the paint goes on it’ll look so colourful. The colours are a surprise to us since Cle-Ann and their daughters chose them.
We had several visitors this week, one of whom was a journalist from Paris, France. She is writing an article on climate change and the people affected by it. There were some interviews at the house and pictures taken of the group. We’re looking forward to what we’ll see when the article comes out sometime in October ’25.
