Conroe, TX – Dec. 30- Jan. 10, 2026

Bob and Dick arrived at the project on December 30th followed by LeRoy and Doreen and the Martin family consisting of Harlan, Melissa, Coner (6), Kristen (3) and Tori (2) on December 31. On January 1st we greeted Lorissa, Kirsten, Kevin, and Laura at the Bus Station.  On January 4th we added the 3 Rosedale Students Katie, Evan, and Keller, to complete our long-term group. 

Sunday evening, we welcomed our 15 weekly volunteers from Pennsylvania. We started framing the Renk house and the Hayes house. On Thursday we started laying block for the Molina House. By the end of the first week, we had the Renk and Hayes houses both closed in. 

On Wednesday we were joined by David and Frances. David is the Project Coordinator along with Matt Troyer-Miller who is the Region 3 ROC. We were treated to an authentic Mexican meal prepared by Francis and the cooks, and it was delicious. 

We also have Marcus staying at the camp with us. He works with Hope Disaster Recovery and assists with keeping things moving. Godfrey who is the founder of Hope Disaster Recovery, has also joined us several times during the week.
