We had a total of 16 volunteers during this week 10/4-10/10, 7 weekly, 5 daily, and 4 leadership, to work on the Gregory West Bridge. They came from PA, NY, VA, NC and SC. Ten of the volunteers worked on the bridge on Saturday, 10/4, fixing rebar, pouring concrete stem wall, and putting in tile for the road. On Monday they put in rock fill and the beams on. Tuesday, we had 5 volunteers with Amy Phillips from LDR join our crew and they helped weld braces, we started the deck, and poured the end wall.  On Wednesday the volunteers went to see a few other bridge sites (Summey, Kaufman, and Beg bridges) with Phil and then finished the deck and pouring the end wall on Gregory West bridge. On Thursday they finished the railing, took the dump trailer to the new site (Summey bridge in Black Mountain), and put stone on the driveway. Friday, they finished putting  the stone on the driveway and pulled the tool trailers to the Summey bridge site that is scheduled to start building on Monday, 10/13.

The Gregory West bridge is complete, and dedication is scheduled for Friday, October 17th at 2:30 p.m.
