Winnipeg, Man. — Mennonite Disaster Service Canada has opened a spring and summer project building three new homes in the Williams Lake region of British Columbia.  The response follows devastating fires in July 2017 that forced 40,000 people to evacuate their homes as wild fires swept through the central interior of the province. The town of Williams Lake evacuated on July 15. Volunteer crews from MDS will build three new homes near Williams Lake.  Volunteers are needed for a number of positions.
