Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) Canada is calling for volunteers to help with clean out and rebuilding of homes in Princeton, B.C. following the catastrophic flood that hit that town in mid-November.

MDS Canada began muck out work on December 6th and now we are transitioning to the rebuild phase.  We are currently scheduling up to 20 volunteers per week through March. Once we have more work confirmed, we will schedule further into the spring.

People who want to volunteer with MDS Canada for a week can contact Kelsey Friesen at 204-261-1274 or 1-866-261-1274. Volunteers should be 16 years of age and older.

Accommodation and food will be provided for volunteers who go to Princeton.

This project is only accepting volunteers who are fully vaccinated (currently, no other MDS project has this requirement).

While MDS Canada is responding in Princeton, we are also working to identify homeowners whom we can help in the Fraser Valley as well.

Donations are welcome for B.C. fire and flood response.
