We are excited to introduce a new volunteer scheduling software called Kinection. Kinection will provide an intuitive experience and a simple process for volunteers to sign up to serve on MDS projects.

“Kinection was designed with the goal of making it as easy as possible for volunteers to sign up to serve with MDS,” says Josh Carson, one of the volunteer coordinators for MDS U.S. “We tested it with volunteers and look forward to using it to get volunteers out on projects,” said Carson.

Volunteers will need to create an account in Kinection to sign up for volunteer opportunities. Volunteers who have served with MDS before should be able to “claim” an existing account, allowing you to verify the information that MDS already has on file, rather than completing it all again. Claim your account by following the steps below:

  1. Visit volunteer.mds.org
  2. Click “sign-up” in the upper right-hand corner
  3. Create your account using the email address that MDS has on file for you
  4. Log in to your account

In the coming weeks, “Opportunities” will be added to Kinection, and you’ll be able to submit a request to serve with MDS to fill those Opportunities.

Please add notifications@kinection.app to your email contacts to ensure you receive important updates from Kinection. Adding this address helps prevent our emails from being marked as spam or sent to your junk folder.

As always, serving with MDS is also accessible to those who do not use the internet or prefer to schedule over the phone. Canadian volunteers should contact the MDS Canada office at 204-261-1274, and U.S. volunteers should contact the MDS U.S. office at 800-241-8111.
