The Kansas Unit is looking for volunteers to help with a parking lot build.

The home being constructed in Eureka, Kansas will first be framed by volunteers in a parking lot over three evenings next week.

The build will take place at First Mennonite Church in Newton, Kansas (429 East First Street, Newton, KS 67114). The work will be happening in the far West parking lot on the corner of First Street and Pine Street.

The unit is looking for volunteers on the evening of September 6, 7, and 8 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. They are also looking for folks on September 9 from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Volunteers will be working on cutting material to length, nailing together wall sections, standing all the wall sections up together, and loading everything up for transport to the site in Eureka.

There is hope that 35-50 individuals will help with the work.

Come for part of an evening or all four days.
