What Happened

In September 2022, Hurricane Ian caused record-breaking flooding in the Myakka River Basin, which includes Charlotte Harbor.

What MDS Is Doing

MDS work will focus on flooding related repairs such as drywall, insulation, flooring, and kitchens.

Port Charlotte is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Charlotte County, Florida, United States. The population was 60,625 at the 2020 census, up from 54,392 at the 2010 census
