When remnants of Typhoon Halong struck Western Alaska, it brought record-breaking winds and flooding to the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta and devastated remote villages.

What MDS Is Doing

MDS work will focus on plumbing repair and retrofitting for houses in need.

Koyuk is a city in the Nome Census Area, Alaska, United States. As of the 2020 census, Koyuk had a population of 312. Koyuk is a traditional Unalit and Malemiut Eskimo village, where people speak a dialect of Inupiaq.
