Perry, FL – Oct 27-30, 2025 (RV)
By Week Three, we are really feeling like a team. We know each other better, and it is easier for Jim, our construction supervisor, to assign jobs. Plumbers, electricians, drywallers, painters — we fell into a rhythm and worked hard together.
At the end of the week, there was cold water at Buster’s. The flooring was laid, and trim installed. The electrical problems were closer to resolution.
At Robin’s, the living room ceiling was finished, new flooring started, kitchen cupboards and drywall installed, and the washer and dryer now sit on a solid floor with dedicated circuits. We know what has to be done to finish the bathroom, but we left stud walls and no floor over the weekend.
A third, smaller project was started for Charlie. A tree came through her roof during the storm, and the roof has been repaired. However, the ceiling in her laundry room and pantry was damaged. Two of our team pulled down the damaged drywall and installed new insulation and drywall. It will need to be finished next week.
Time is flying. Our team has had so much fun and so many meaningful times together — working, praying, eating, assembling jigsaw puzzles, discussing life, and sharing our lives with each other, with no small amount of laughter. We are grateful for the opportunity. This is indeed God’s work, and we are blessed to partner in it.
