This week we had representation from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. It’s amazing to see that there are great people from across the country coming together to help build and renovate homes for people in need. There have been great volunteers here every week and it’s been most enjoyable getting to know them.

Dwayne’s home has been completed, and we had his home dedication on Oct.23. All the pieces came together, and the home was finished with all the trimmings. We had a little hiccup with the power pole which needed to be replaced, but we know it will be coming shortly. Dwayne was very happy with the help he had received from all the volunteers.

We were able to complete two renovations which consisted of roof repair, shingles, and siding at Terry’s, and installing drywall along with taping and mudding for Judith. These were not very large jobs but most appreciated by the homeowners. It was most heart warming when Judith asked if she could share a prayer of blessing for us after signing the job card.

The week ended with help from the Atlantic Canada team to take down the camp at the Birchtown Community Hall. We have completed our work in the Barrington/Shelburne area and we’re headed home! PTL
