This week in Selma, we were joined by Jack, Crew Leader from Minnesota, and 1 weekly volunteer from the Finger Lakes area of New York.

The weather in Selma was spring-like with cool mornings and very warm, mostly sunny days, following a rainy Sunday and Monday.

Over at the Moore home, we finished drywall and mudding. Next week’s volunteers will be painting and flooring       and a small crew will be painting trim in the warehouse.

At the Alexander home, we continue working on the outside… siding, flashing, soffit… as well as some windows.

Our long term volunteers finished the roof repair at the Ingram home and we were able to get the job card signed off.

The drywall contractor, Miguel and his wife Elvira, will be done drywall finishing at the Reynolds on Saturday. We will be painting most of next week and perhaps start flooring. A small crew will be painting trim in the warehouse.

For supper Tuesday evening, we were joined by the Vice-chair of the LTRG, Pastor John Grayson and First Lady Doctor CeCe Grayson of the Gospel Tabernacle church. They spoke of their numerous endeavors and their hope for the restoration and reconciliation in Selma.

This weekend we bid farewell and “till the next MDS response” to our cooking couple Val and Lynn and welcome Kristina and Linda to take over in the kitchen. Roland Stutzman is taking over as Office Manager as I also bid farewell.
