Port Charlotte, FL – Oct. 13-19, 2024

The team welcomed our new Project Director Don as well as head cook and assistant cook Val and Lynn. The team also welcomed the first groups of weekly volunteers. 

Orientation, however, was lengthy due to the newly required paperwork adding 45 minutes of time. 

Jobs for the week included repeating mitigations that were being cleaned up post Ian, post Helene and now post Milton. Also included was the roofing and fascia repair. 

It was a positive however to complete some job cards. 

Weeks end finds the team saying goodbye for now to our Project Director Rollin ,3 long term volunteers Jonathon, Katie and Adam as well as Crew Leader Joval. 

To have such adventures trials and tribulations together has been real and a team together that no other can appreciate. This part of the team was very special and our prayers go with them.
