Week of July 21-26 we had a great group of 15 from the Bowmansville Mennonite Church in Pennsylvania. They brought a lot of energy and laughter to the MDS work site.

Worked on Murial’s house installing windows, painted and installed the outside trim and siding. With a total of 290.50 hours her house was completed, and the Job Card was signed completed at the end of the week.

Michael’s house had its 2nd coat of paint on the front siding and trim then they finished the rest of the house with all the siding and framed in all the windows. Framed the patio door, repaired the deck, and brought it up to the door level. Braced the deck and attached a light fixture. After 205 hours at his house this week it was completed, and the Job Card was also signed at the end of the week.

Wednesday evening our dinner guest was the tribal chairman, Darrell Seki. We had a good conversation with him, and everyone was very interested in what he had to share with the group.

At Lindsey’s house the group put in 83 hours and took off the siding and trim, Painted siding and trim and replaced a window.

Clayton’s house was started on Wednesday by taking off the old roof, replaced with 13 sheets of plywood and started putting on the new shingles. Thursday, they finished installing the new roof, installed a new soffit on the south side of house and took off the old siding and started painting the new siding. The group put in 114 hours.
