Welcome to week two at the Shuswap project in Scotch Creek, B.C.

The six leadership volunteers and one long-term scholarship student remained from the previous week, and a group of 10 from the Austin Christian Academy arrived Sunday evening. The group consisted of four adults and six high school students: two boys and four girls, ranging in age from 16 to 18. They were the first group to occupy both bunk trailers on this project.

Our hosts continued to be gracious and accommodating and offered support with local daily volunteers and delicious baked treats.

All volunteers worked hard to complete cement pours on our two ongoing jobs to get ready for floor joists this week. We were also able to bless the homeowners at our third job with help preparing their garden, including spreading manure, planting seeds and seedlings, and cutting fence posts.
