Denare Beach, SK – May 10-16, 2026

We had a wonderful second week on the project. We had volunteers from all over British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Oklahoma. We are getting into the groove and getting to know the community better. Most of our homeowners are working during the day, but they have come on site to help and have also joined us for suppers. We are trying to set up a regular schedule to have homeowners join us for one evening a week.

The evenings also fill up with fun activities. We have even started an auction for volunteers to be able to auction off whatever they want to other volunteers. All supporting funds will be directed to the project and helping homeowners get settled. Lots of laughs for sure!

Our work on the basements has continued. We’ve had the privilege of having volunteers with plumbing and mechanical experience to do the underground plumbing. We’ve continued the framing of the basements and are also trying to troubleshoot issues with one foundation that is yet to be poured.
