What Happened
In August 2021, the White Rock Lake fire destroyed 28 structures at Monte Lake, B.C. It was one of about 1,600 fires in the province during last year’s fire season.

In collaboration with the B.C. unit, we are rebuilding four new homes in the small community. Many volunteers of all skill levels will be needed for this project, which will run from May until fall. Contact MDS Canada for more information, or to sign up to serve.
Location
Monte Lake is located about 50 kilometres from Kamloops in B.C.’s interior.
